SHORT BIOGRAPHY
Ms. Garrido-Nag is interested in the normal and disordered acquisition of language, the neurophysiology of language, and clinical speech and language pathology. She also has researched the effects of attention in language acquisition and processing; specifically the role of attention in speech processing, the relationship between auditory processing abilities and language learning, and the relationship between brain development and autism.
Ms. Garrido-Nag received her bachelor's degree in speech pathology from the University of the Philippines and her master's degree in speech-language pathology from Gallaudet, and is completing her PhD in speech-language-hearing sciences from The Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
Ms. Garrido-Nag is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, the Cognitive Neuroscience Society, and the International Society of Infant Studies. She is bilingual in Tagalog and English.
