Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Communication Sciences & Disorders or related field preferred, but ABD will be considered. Desire candidate with CCC in Audiology or Speech-Language Pathology. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in: Aging, Counseling, Aural rehabilitation, but other areas will be considered. Applicants must have fluency, or willingness to develop fluency in ASL, as well as a willingness to learn about Deafness and Deaf culture.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities for the successful candidate will include teaching Master's and Au.D. level courses, working closely with the speech-language pathology and audiology clinical staff, directing student research, developing a research program in an area of expertise and seeking external funding.

The Department of Hearing Speech & Language Sciences seeks faculty applicants committed to teaching graduate Speech Language Pathology courses. Candidates must demonstrate potential for competency in teaching, scholarship/research, and service. Fluency in sign language communication is highly desirable. Applicants who are not fluent must be willing to learn. Rank and salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications. The appointment will be nine months for the academic year beginning August 17, 2009. Position is contingent on funding.
Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Speech Language Pathology or closely related field. Candidate must possess content knowledge in a range of areas that might include: organic disorders of speech and language, research, speech science, neurogenics, motor speech disorders and voice disorders. While not currently in the curriculum, content in autism or AAC is also desirable. Those with content in other areas are also encouraged to apply. Candidates should demonstrate competence in teaching, scholarship, and a commitment to services, must demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaboration skills and possess the CCC-SLP.
Responsibilities:
Candidate will be expected to teach courses in Speech Language Pathology and other courses supported by the Department of Hearing Speech and Language Sciences. The faculty member will supervise and advise students in the major and work collaboratively with other faculty members and clinical educators. Candidates will be expected to engage in scholarship and/or research in the field and will be expected to participate in department and university faculty activities and professional service. Other department responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
